What the monthly work actually covers
New pages aimed at terms you are not showing up for yet, plus rewrites on live pages that are not connecting. Profile and citation work when that is the bottleneck. And a list of exactly which URLs shipped, every month, so you can see what you paid for.
It is month to month. Stop at the end of any month and the pages stay yours, because they are on your site.
When SEO is the wrong thing to buy
If the site itself cannot hold the pages, a retainer is money into a bucket with a hole in it. We would rather tell you that and rebuild it first than bill you monthly to write pages onto a structure that will not carry them.
It is also wrong if you need calls this quarter. Profile work can move in weeks, but page work takes three to six months here before it means anything. If the phone has to ring in thirty days, that is an ads conversation, not an SEO one.
And it is wrong if you are not planning to be in business in three years. Organic search pays back slowly. That is the whole trade.
What nobody can sell you
A position. Google decides that, and it changes what it rewards constantly. Any proposal with a guaranteed ranking in it is either a misunderstanding or a lie, and in Johnson County you will see both.
Judge it on calls you could actually quote, not on a rank tracker. Ranking first for a term nobody buys from is a screenshot, not revenue.
The free half
A lot of what moves local rankings is not something we get paid for: asking customers for reviews, keeping your hours accurate, making sure your address reads the same everywhere it appears. We will tell you to do those things whether or not you buy anything, because they are the cheapest wins available to you.
